Holiday tips for Turkey Holidays
Well, we came back from Lykia World by Olu Deniz in Turkey last weekend.
Generally, a very enjoyable time to be had for all.
A few holiday tips, though:
1. A week is far too short in Turkey. There’s too much to do, too much to see. 10 days would be a minimum recommendation.
2. The flights [...]
Hamish McTurk tours
Now that it’s certain that we’re going to Olu Deniz, I’ve been looking at places we can go and visit.
While we’re almost certainly going to visit Kayakoy, my girlfriend found a local tour operator called HAmish McTurk which looks like it offers some good excusions.

It looks quite remarkable:
According to the Wikipedia, it became deserted after a population exchange in 1923, I presume from hostilities after World War 1.
Apparently the village was built from around 1700, so not a [...]
Olu Deniz
For our second holiday we’ve been looking around for a location with an excellent beach as well as historical interest, and Olu Deniz is currently showing top of our list.
When you see a picture like this, it’s hard not to see why:
I’ve already been doing some research on Olu Deniz, and I’ll get some more [...]
