References to Thomson holidays on this site

Someone asked why I keep linking to Thomson holidays and whether I was doing some kind of promotion or marketing for the company.

The answer is: no. The reason is more mundane - Thomson’s website is very well done, presents information easily and simply, there are plenty of images and even video, so as a research and reference point it can make an excellent platform to start from.

Unfortunately, most travel company websites are completely dire by comparison.

We went on our holiday to Egypt via Thomson, and then our second to Turkey through Cosmo via Sky.

I’m sure I’ll therefore keep referencing the Thomson website for the time being until the other travel agents buck up their websites.

In the meantime, I’ll also continue to use Google Images and Flickr as a reference as well.

As with all holiday companies, though - shop around. Thomson may present their information very well, but they are not necessarily the cheapest or best for what you need - but certainly present you with some nice options to compare. In many instances, price differences do not equate to better/less service, just higher mark-ups, so do compare for the best deal according to the hotel and flight details that suit you.
