Tropicana Azure, Sharm El Sheikh

So we were looking for a good family beach holiday for the October half-term.

There are various options available, but I wanted something relatively luxurious, great beach, good hotel pools, good all-inclusive food, and options for snorkelling.

Sharm El Sheikh kept coming up on the list, and frankly so many of the hotels look just right for what we want.

Finding a hotel that offers a family room for five was a problem, but eventually I found the Tropicana Azure Club could offer it, was available during my travel window, and seemed a good quality family hotel.

The reviews at Trip Advisor for the Tropicana Azure are generally very good.

The only downside is that it’s not on the beach - there’s a main road and then the Azure Grand you have to go through - but that a shuttlebus and children’s train ride offer regular free transport to the beach for you.

While I would have prefered a different country to one we have already visited, to be honest we don’t expect to travel outside of the hotel complex unless we need to - we’re going for a relaxing beach and pool holiday, and it will be great to do some snorkelling over the reefs with the kids.

So now we’re booked.
